Monday morning at 9 o'clock...

...as the day begins. I'm sitting at my desk at work, waiting for the mailman to bring me my work for the day. Oh how I love the monotony of opening and copying mail 5 days a week.

We got moved in this weekend! We still have a few things we need to get at the apartment and we should be able to get the last few things today and tomorrow after work. The next few weeks will be sorting through boxes and organizing the rest of the house. So far, I'm loving the extra room. It's just funny, because now we have to search the house for each other. Bobby suggested walkie-talkies...I just laughed.

Yesterday was Noelle's 21st birthday! After moving on Saturday, we took her out at midnight and had a few drinks. We had a good time, and she didn't get sick, which is a definite plus! For her actual birthday, we took her to the Steelers game! It was me, Bobby, Noelle, Derek, his brother Jeff, and JohnAllen. It was awesome! Teri was down on the field and took some awesome pictures, as usual...check these ones out!


This is my favorite! We definitely beat on Cleveland! 31-0.

Well, back to work...I've got a little bit of mail to start with...until 4 days worth comes and is piled upon my desk!!

2 days 'til Christmas!

Today I feel....overwhelmed. Christmas is 2 days away, and we're moving in 4 days. I've been waiting for a check to come from the school district that I worked at 2 weeks ago, and it still hasn't come yet today. If it doesn't come before the bank closes at 7, I'll never finish my shopping... :( I feel terrible, because I've always been to give a lot and do a lot for my family and friends, and this year I'm scraping bottom and I still can't get gifts for everyone. I know that gifts aren't the important part of the holiday...but I like being able to put thought into what I'm going to give people and see the joy on their faces when I give it to them. This year, it just isn't happening. I'm so down in the dumps today!

To top it all off, I think I'm getting sick...unless it's because I was crying so hard this morning about the check. I feel like I'm letting everyone down, and I'm not sure how I'm going to pay my bills, either. Bobby says he understands...but I'm not sure if he really does. I can't even afford to put gas in my car, and I'm going to need it in order to move this weekend, and I don't know what I'm going to do!


Oh well, hope you all have a Merry Christmas! I'll update you on the move post-moving day.

I'd rather be exhausted than broke!

In case you were wondering, Jen and Ben's wedding was wonderful. We had an excellent time - except for the road to the reception being closed because of snow. We took the long way around and ended up at the reception an hour after we left the church!!

Since Monday, I've been subbing at a local school district from 8am until 3:45pm, then driving into town, working at the office from 4-ish until 8, then going to our new house and working. I'll be doing it again tomorrow, then I'll be finished subbing for the week!
At the beginning of the week, Bobby said to me "Don't exhaust yourself." I didn't think it was going to be too bad...but now that we're half way through the week, it's starting to really get to me.

I'm tired, my legs are aching from standing all day at school, and I just want to take a nap. But I must press on and get to the end of this week. I had to put the extra hours in at the office because I was worried about not having the money to pay my bills for the month - hence why I'd rather be exhuasted than broke. There's always the weekend to sleep in a little bit!

Things are going pretty well at the house. We got all the wall paper stripped from the 2 bathrooms, and the master bedroom. Took down all of the rotted curtain rods, and Bobby and his dad patched holes in the ceilings. Tonight, I'll be scrubbing walls, windows, and baseboards. Hopefully we can tape things off and start painting the bathrooms!

I keep promising pictures, and as soon as MY laptop decides it wants to connect to the internet I'll get some posted.

Other news...WE'RE MOVING!!!! I am so excited! I'll be updating with all of the info when I have more time at work! Hopefully I'll be able to show you all the changes I'm making, including painting and the layout. I'll have to take a few pictures of our tiny apartment to show you how much more room we're getting in the new place!!
